Working from her studio in the Scottish Highlands - with a BA (Honours) degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art - Mel is a truly multi talented artist and has featured prominently on the North East of Scotland arts scene for the past 17 years.
She likes to describe her work
as 'realistic interpretations from life, an image that is engaging for the viewer'. Mel undertakes commissions for portraits and illustrations. One of Mel's specialities is painting animal portraits and in 2004 she was invited to become a member of the Scottish Society of Equestrian Artists. |
